A standard 7 kW home charger installation typically costs £900–£1,200 including the charger unit, installation, and all electrical work.
What affects the cost:
- Cable run length — the distance from your consumer unit to the charger location. A longer run requires more cable and labour.
- Consumer unit condition — if your fuse board needs an upgrade to accommodate the charger, this adds to the cost
- Charger model — different brands and models have different price points. We supply and install a range of quality chargers.
- Earth rod — required in some installations, adds a modest cost
- External groundwork — if cable needs to be routed underground to a detached garage or separate parking area
What is included in our price:
- Supply of the charger unit
- Full installation by our qualified electricians
- Dedicated circuit from your consumer unit
- All electrical testing and certification
- Registration with building control
- Commissioning and app setup
