Which home battery system is best for Scottish homes?

The best battery depends on your usage, solar setup, backup-power needs, budget, and the manufacturer support available at the time of quote. We no longer recommend choosing a battery based only on headline price — long-term software, warranty, and support matter just as much.

Tesla Powerwall 3:

  • Capacity — 13.5 kWh
  • High power output — suited to homes with higher demand
  • Backup options — strong fit where whole-home backup is important
  • Tesla app — polished monitoring and control ecosystem
  • Best for — customers who want a premium, integrated system with strong output and app support

Other supported modular systems:

For some homes, a modular battery from another supported manufacturer may be a better fit. That might be because of budget, available wall or floor space, inverter compatibility, backup requirements, or the support route available at the time of quote.

Existing GivEnergy systems:

If you already have a GivEnergy battery, it should continue operating, but the support and warranty position has changed following GivEnergy Ltd entering administration on 9 April 2026. GivEnergy Software Limited is separate, local access remains available, and some cloud/remote features, historical data, automation, and API access may depend on paid or premium software access. JME customers can contact us for help checking their setup and understanding their options.
